Golden Gate Market Deli Liquor

This restaurant is a wonderful spot for a sandwich near the Palace of Fine Arts and the Presidio. However, I am deducting some stars because it is not the most budget-friendly option and the staff can be a bit unfriendly.

I used to work in the Pacific Heights neighborhood and a friend had recommended this restaurant to me. I had dined here years ago and the food was so delicious that I ended up coming back several times.

Don't hesitate to visit GG Market and Deli, even if you've been to other delicatessens (except maybe Lucca). Their sandwiches are so good that we always enjoy trying new ones each time we visit.

This restaurant serves excellent, super delicious and fresh, large sandwiches. I tried the San Francisco sandwich, which had turkey, bacon, pesto, gouda, and remoulade sauce - it was amazing! The quality of the bread really stood out and made a big difference in my opinion. Even though I was initially concerned when I saw my sandwich being put in the oven, I was pleasantly surprised by how it elevated the experience. It was just warmed enough, not toasted like a sub, which paired perfectly with the cold condiments. I will definitely be coming back to try more sandwiches.

I was practically forced by a friend to go by here. He was right. Super tasty sandwiches, friendly staff and even the other customers were extremely courteous. If you haven't had a sandwich here, you've never had a sandwich.
