Anh Hong - San Francisco

The restaurant no longer offers the seven-course meat menu. The dining experience is no longer as exceptional as before, which is disappointing.

This restaurant did not meet my expectations. They no longer serve a 7-course meal. We had to order all the dishes separately. The most disappointing part was the bathroom - it was dark, dirty, and the door and lock were broken.

My partner and I were looking for a Vietnamese restaurant near the Hilton Union Square and stumbled upon this one because of its good rating. To our surprise, this was not your typical Vietnamese restaurant that serves pho. Everyone in the restaurant was enjoying the 7-course tasting menu, but we had no idea what that meant. Despite our initial confusion, we were delighted with every course - each one was delicious and refreshing. The service was excellent and we would love to return if we ever find ourselves back in San Francisco. Unfortunately, we live in Chicago and it might be challenging to find a similar Vietnamese restaurant there. If anyone knows of a similar restaurant in Chicago, please let us know.

It's my second time here and I love it. the portions are very generous and they receive a plentiful amount of aromatic herbs/sproutes and so on. come here and come often!

Some of the best southern Vietnamese dishes I've had outside of Saigon/HoChiMinh City: A platter of fresh vegetables (lettuce, mint, cilantro, cucumbers, carrots, bean sprouts, and more) with rice paper and a bowl of hot water to prepare wrap-it-yourself spring rolls to combine with: CHAO TOM BÁNH HOI (shrimp rolled in steamed sugar cane and rice noodle squares) BÒ NƯỚNG LÁ LỐT (grilled minced beef rolled in a special aromatic leaf (Lot) freshly flown in from Hawaii) A platter of fresh vegetables (lettuce, mint, cilantro, cucumbers, carrots, bean sprouts, and more) with rice paper and a bowl of hot water to prepare wrap-it-yourself spring rolls to combine with CHAO TOM BÁNH HOI (shrimp rolled in steamed sugar cane and rice noodle squares) BÒ NƯỚNG LÁ LỐT (grilled minced beef rolled in a special aromatic leaf (Lot) freshly flown in from Hawaii)
