Honestly this review is long.. like many years overdue.I think this place used to be called Mac daddy? I 'm not so sure anymore, color scheme looks different and it used to have kinda a bar seating. I could even be reviewing the wrong place overall and the old Mac and cheese place shut down. Who knows. Regardless the plating looked similar, menu and possibility to create your own Mac. All two familiar. This place was... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Mac'd:
I ate last on mac’d in august 2018 when they offer vegan cheese from the uncreamery. the mac and the cheese itself was incredibly delicious because of the vegan cheese; but I never again much for more because the mac and be very expensive (I remember the vegan version more than the non-vegan) and it is not something I eat every day. if mac still uses Uncreamery cheese, it is worth driving there to try at least once.... Nooooooo! It is closed. WhyyyyAnother favorite goneMaybe it is just for a rebottle or something like that. Fingers crossed.
I gotta admit, I'm never really in the area unless I'm working and this place was perfectly located nearby. Not too much parking on the street but im sure you'll manage. I had a 30 minute lunch break and decided to go the door dash route for pick up and it was ready just in time.I ordered the drunken pig, which was mac with some flavorful pork on top. It wasn't too expensive especially for the amount that you get. It felt like 5lbs of food that I destroyed in 15 mins lol. I think the fresh and great taste had a little bit to do with it lol. There's a good amount of other options on the menu that I definitely want to try out. I'm glad to see this business still going, I first tried mac'd when it was located on Fillmore in the marina district. They may have moved but they didn't lose a step at all. I'd recommend this place to anybody and I think they even have vegan options. Great customer service, quality food and culture.

And holy friggin cow I wanted to come back but it was just a far drive. I 'm def gunna try the new mac 'd if this isnt the same place under a new name.

Ooey gooey comfort food at it's finest! I had always wanted to try a build your own mac restaurant and this place hit the spot! The location is also spot on as it's amongst busy Polk St. bars!
