Been going here for at least 15 years?! Hands down, always 5 stars. There’s always a line during rush hour, call ahead. Parking: There’s plenty of street parking, you can find a spot immediately within a block or two or wait a minute or two for a spot in front. Same, same. View all feedback.
What Martin Aki Tsui doesn't like about Jb's Place:
Unpredictable weekend hours. Some Saturday they open, some Saturdays they would be closed even if you showed up at the time that they're supposed to be open. Quite annoying to commute all the way just to learn about this. View all feedback.
The most friendly staff work there. I got a clean classic sub for lunch and loved it. Will be returning

This place had fresh, delicious food and outstanding customer service. Every single staff person was so nice. Highly recommend for yummy noms!
One my all time favorite breakfast spots.I have mixed feelings about leaving this review because they 100% deserve 5 stars, I just don’t want to have to fight crowds to eat here! This is where all the trade pros go. Hipsters stay away! :
This is a sweet little neighborhood spot. Great atmosphere and unpretentious. Just great food served by great people. JB's has an expansive menu with lots of classic deli/diner options, as well as some fantastic plates with a Mediterranean influence. A friend who lives in the neighborhood turned me onto this place, and let me just say that the veggie gyro platter will keep me coming back for years to come. Owners and staff are very friendly and seem to have great relationships with their regulars. Look no further for your next Portrero lunch!
