I've only had the Daeho Galbitang (comes w/ shrimp and abalone) and it's been good every time. In fact, it's probably the best Galbitang I've had in the city. The broth is rich and beefy but there's an oiliness to it. Meat is super tender but the shrimp sometimes isn't fresh. Great that there's an option to add more meat. The order comes with 4 banchans. The phone line is also hit or miss because you can be calling 15... View all feedback.
What Spencer Q doesn't like about Daeho Kalbijjim Beef Soup:
Food: 3/5Service: 3/5Ambiance: 3/5Overall: The good thing is this place doesn't have a line compared to the one in Japan town. The pricing however is somewhat ridiculous for some things. Would I come back: Wouldn't be my first choice. The extended review...Food:Kalbi Tang with Rice cake 3/5 A decent dish but I only got it because the price for kalbijim is so ridiculous. I was able to get my fix of kalbi and rice cake... View all feedback.
Great food in a busy food court. Perfect place to feel like the meal was well

Daeho is one of the dining establishments inside H Mart offering authentic Korean kalbijjim and beef soup ?. I have been here many times and the beef soup is just amazing. (If you're a reader ? like me, you might like the NY Times best selling book Crying in H Mart.
Alas I made my long awaited pilgrimage to Daeho. I've heard about this place so much from friends, and knew that the SF location is difficult to get into because of long lines, so I opted for the Daly City location. It's within the same building as Hmart, in a small food court like area shared with other places like Paris Baguette. It's more of a casual ambience, but the downside is the service. There isn't very much room to sit, and may be hard to find a table especially for a large group. Also our order took a while to be prepared, and we didn't even get called we had to go check several times ourselves. That aside, the food was great. Our group shared a large kalbijjim with cheese. The beef was very tender and well seasoned, and the cheese sealed the deal. It also came with purple rice, some veggies, and banchan. We had about 6 people are were all quite full sharing the large. I would come back here but maybe with a smaller group, and would check out the other food options in the area!
