Got all your usual dim sum staples siumai, hargao, cheung fun, salted pork w/ century egg congee, clay pot black bean pork and rice and MANY more. This place is no frills and offers a variety of dim sum to go. My kind of place. Everything is pretty much $1/piece at least for the smaller items. F O O D Chicken feet This was tasty!! Some to go places serve it by the pound, but this one comes with 4 for $4 (I think). Char Siu Bao/Pork Bun Steamed, fluffy bread with a decent amount of filling. The filling wasn't gelatinous, too fatty, or too sweet. It was also only $1. I'd definitely get these again. Har gow This wasn't my favorite of the places I've tried. It's missing something for me. It's also $1/each piece, which is probably cheap by sit down standards but expensive for to go. Inflation... Egg custard circle thing (I don't actually know what it's called, but it was in the case and there's a red bean version) not too sweet and had a good egg filling ratio. It's at the edge of Chinatown, but I'd come back!
Asked if they sell longevity peach buns. Have to pre-order and the minimum is three dozen! That is way too many.
Kind of on the outskirts of Chinatown in that weird transitional space that flows into North Beach. Not very high traffic. Takeout only right now, even though there seem to be seats/tables. Very good value and solid quality. Though there is a mix of hits and misses, so best to try a few things so you 're guaranteed a few stars. Shrimp Dumplings: A great value at $3.60 for 4. Just as good as the ones served from pricier dim sum carts at restaurants. Lots of shrimp inside a delicate skin. Pork Siu Mai: Another reliable favorite, familiar on dim sum carts. Very meaty and hearty. Chive Dumplings: It was ok, but not as a good as the other two dim sum items. Seemed like a lot more greens than shrimp. BBQ Pork Bun: Steamed bun with sweet sticky pork inside. Very crave worthy. Pan Fried Pork Vegetable Bun: Only slightly browned from the pan fry and not crispy. The inside felt kinda skimpy compared to all the bread. Only a little pork among the cabbage. Liked the BBQ pork bun more. Fried Meat Dumpling: These were so yummy. A gooey mochi like dumpling that is deep fried to have a delightfully crispy skin. And the inside was like beef and mushroom or something, very umami. Chicken Rice: So I like that there is a nice thick layer of crispy rice at the bottom of the pan, which ends up on top of the takeout container. However, wasn 't a fan of the chicken. Every piece had bones in it. And not like big drumstick bones that are easy to eat around, but tiny little shards. So you have to be really careful eating this. Especially since the crispy rice acts like a false flag in the nonstop game of Is this a bone or is it crispy rice? Not worth all the effort.

It has pork, Chinese sausage, egg, shiitake mushrooms and usually pretty filling, hence big bun. Its the best in the area. Menu has both English and Chinese w/ prices. It's located just a block away from Little Italy and Chinatown, street parking only, unless you wanna garage it next door, but overall good joint if you're in the area and want something quick and good
Don’t sleep on this OG dim sum spot in the heart of North Beach, very authentic, open early, rarely any line or any people at all really. Highly reccomend for casual fare snack.
