El Meson del Taco

Mexican food as it should be which is apparently rare in this town. Kind people. Tasteful moles en salsas. Nothing more to say.

Here you will find big portions, an open kitchen to see the food made and a hard working staff. Will definitely come back if in town again. For 100 pesos you get a huge plate of meat and veggies to make your own tacos, on the table they give you a bunch of items to add to your home made corn tortilla tacos, from onion, salsas, cilantro, etc

As far as flavor, they are hands down my favorite tacos. They are consistently busy, but their service isn’t as good as it used to be. Food comes out one plate at a time, especially if different things are ordered. By the time the second plate comes out, the first is either cold or eaten.

By far the best tacos I have ever had. My Spanish teacher, a local, told me about this place. I went back twice after that with friends, and they also went back twice! It's casual and affordable, loved by locals and tourists alike. There were a lot of families there. Large portions: my friends and I shared one order of tacos for about 80 pesos.

Absolutely loved the tacos al pastor con queso (with flour tortillas worth the extra pesos! . Best I've had in Mexico for our last day in this country perfect ending! Condiments and salsas provided are so flavoursome and generous in size. Friendly service, loved seeing the ladies working so hard and keeping fresh food coming up out front. Keep it up!!
