My visit to the Subway restaurant in Walmart city of San Clemente was extremely disappointing. The female staff were rude and unprofessional, making me feel unwelcome. The food did not taste fresh and seemed stale, as if it had been sitting out for a long time. Overall, I was not satisfied with my meal or the service. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and will not be returning. I would rate it 0 out of 5 if I could.
The server who assisted me was so friendly, I have to give them a 5-star rating! Exceptional service, I just wish I had gotten their name so I could give them a shout out.
I ordered a foot-long meatball marinara and three half subs - a chicken ranch cheese melt, a tuna salad, and an Italian BMT. The chicken ranch cheese melt had no lettuce or tomato, just a dry roll with two strips of bacon and six small chunks of chicken. The meatball sub was only a half, not a foot long. When I tried calling back ten minutes before closing, there was no answer from the restaurant or from Subway's administrative office.
The sandwiches at this restaurant are consistently delicious with fresh meat and freshly cut veggies. Overall, it's always a great dining experience.
