What User likes about Seiya Japanese Cuisine:
Seiya stands out among other local sushi restaurants with its unique offerings. The omakase menu features 7 sushi selections not typically found elsewhere. A standout dish is the mentaiko spaghetti recommended by our attentive server, Miki. While the menu has become slightly more mainstream since Paride took over, the quality remains top-notch. The robata grill options, such as the pork belly, are also highly recomme... View all feedback. What User doesn't like about Seiya Japanese Cuisine:
our favorites are fish tacos (used by 3 per order, but equal price? , and the seafood risotto, both very tasteful? as for the rest in the menu, they? pay too much for the portions they serve. overall it was a good culinary experience, but much too overpriced. View all feedback.

It was our jubilee and we ate the whole week fantasies. just wanted to eat at a place with simple good food for our celebration instead of 3 1/2- 4.
Beautiful small Japanese restaurant with solid quality sashimi/sushi. the inner was not what I expected at all. it was very illuminated and very intimate.
Amazing eating, eating could be better hard wooden benches and not many tables. good service so overall good
We love this place! freshest fish, great taste combinations. absolutely the best!
The food and the service were impeccable. our server micki was fantastic. one of the best Japanese restaurants throughout bay area

read moreSeiya, a quaint Japanese sushi restaurant in San Carlos, offers an intimate ambiance and a diverse menu that ranges from sushi to unique fusion dishes. Many patrons praise the freshness and quality of the sushi, while others express disappointment, citing inconsistencies in preparation and flavor, particularly with certain sushi items. Service appears to be a recurrent theme; while some enjoyed attentive staff, others found them lacking during busy times. With prices on the higher end, diners are left divided on whether the experience justifies the cost. Overall, Seiya remains a potential destination for those seeking quality sushi, balanced with caution on menu selections.

Overall good food and good place for casual sushi. The food tends to just come out when it's ready, rather than everyone's meal at the same time.
