This restaurant in Hunan is friendly and offers tasty dishes. It's a good option for a quick bite. I tried the fried tilapia fish, which was slightly spiced and had a great texture. I also ordered the slow-boiled pork in small rolls, which was flavorful and delicious. The combination with the bok choy was a bit dry, but I plan to try some of the other pork dishes next time. If I could give zero stars, I would. We came here with a group of 6 and waited for half an hour to order our food, but were not successful in the end. Non-Chinese Caucasian customers who arrived after us were prioritized over us. I would recommend avoiding this place as it seems they only prioritize white customers. View all feedback.
I had a pleasant experience at this restaurant! The food was decent and the service was friendly. We tried the Spicy Beef Combo, Steamed Whole Tilapia with Mixed Hunan Style Chilis, and smoked bamboo with smoked pork. My favorite dish was the smoked bamboo and smoked pork. The smoked pork was delicious and you could taste the smoky flavors from the wood. The Spicy Beef Combo was authentic and flavorful. While the whole fish was good, it didn't quite live up to the other dishes in terms of flavor.
In terms of kid-friendliness, the restaurant welcomes diners of all ages. While there isn't a specific children's menu, dishes can be made mild for those who are more particular about what they eat. Parking is convenient as the restaurant is located in a shopping mall with plenty of spaces available. Additionally, the restaurant is wheelchair accessible as it is on the ground floor with ADA ramps on the sidewalks and wide doors for easy access.
I really enjoy eating at this delicious Hunan restaurant. My favorite dish is the Chicken Wings with Explosive Chili Peppers.
This place is such a sleeper.. besides well executed fiery hunan dishes featuring house made smoked pork, Joy of Hunan turns out fresh and renditions of classic american influenced dishes, like orange and Kung Pao chicken, or honey walnut prawns. Good Cali wine is also available, and the interior, though spare, is tastefully decorated and clean. Not your average chinese takeout place.
Nice restaurant to stop by near the airport and grab some Hunan Chinese food. Got the stir fried Chinese bacon, and braised pork belly and pickled vegetables and bun, rice cake with shredded pork and vegetables, stir fry water spinach with garlic, and sweet sour tofu with eggplant. The flavors were delicious. Service was good and fast.
