Wong - San Borja

After two weeks and visits to three different supermarket groups, Wong is still the best with the largest selection of products. Excellent service and good prices. Stick with local versions instead of imported products and you will do best. Large selection of fresh fruit and vegetables. San Isidro Business opposite the Church of Santa Maria could be the best, but the San Borja Store is excellent

Different and they are all great. Prices slightly higher than its competitors, but quality is higher AND they all have sales. We often go to 7:30 PM mass on Sunday and pop n for fresh tamales and other weekend excursions to take breakfast home. Excellent wine collection and already prepared dishes also. Bakery a favorite of our grandkids.

Expensive shopping market in the middle of the district. Price were higher than our neighborhood store. We only purchased Peru coffee, which prices seem to be the same on the internet.

Wong supermarket has a buffet cafeteria on first floor with a large selection of food. Just fill your plate take it to the till and pay. Microvawe available for extra warm up. One of the best places forcheap eat in lima.

Pedimos Ceviche de Lenguado y Pulpo, el ceviche no me parecio gran cosa, el pulpo no estaba tan suave. Te dan la opcion de un plato caliente dulce o salado, pedimos dulce pensando en algo como chifa, INCOMIBLE!! Ademas la atencion es tan mala y el chef tiene fama de malhumarado, asi que preferimos pedir para llevar la comida horrible y pagar que discutir con el único mozo o el Chef Wong. No sé si nuestras expectativas eran muy altas por la gran fama de este chef, pero no nos gustó para nada y la cuenta fueron 200 soles para 2 personas.
