Bad customer service, staff doesn't even know what brand malted vinegar they carry! Very old inside needs an update badly! The food Tasted horrible like the frier oil needed to be changed weeks ago!
This place has some bomb fish and shrimps! The batter is so crunchy and they give you a decent serving! Prices are not bad at all. I feel like I stepped back into time … it’s clean and old school! And they even have Air Conditioning, not a swamp cooler but actual AC! We’ll be back!
The guy at the counter was not very friendly at all. The prices were unreasonable and they used to always put a couple of Malt Vinegar packets in our bag or at least ask us if we wanted some. We got home and there was none in the bag. My wife sent me back and the same not so friendly guy said that they will not ask you because they are too expensive and not many people like them. He said we have to ask for them. Not cool
The fish and side dishes were cooked fresh and delicious (for takeout. Just like old times. The shrimp, both medium and jumbo were just so, so. The inside atmosphere however, was a little dark and dreary. Not really welcoming for eating in. Also, the owners were a little stingy with the condiments. We spent nearly $40 for three people and was only given 1 of each (tartar sauce, cocktail sauce and malt vinegar packet per order. They begrudgingly gave 1 more malt vinegar when asked. Nevertheless the food definitely made it worth the 20 minute drive from Fontana to San Bernardino. We will be back.Parking: Adequate parking in front and additional parking at Stater Brothers parking lot next door.
