What User doesn't like about Bar Tokio:
My husband and I went to the table on November 13th. We entered the place ourselves and another couple. They spent about 20 minutes and none of the two mosses came to care for us. until we asked one to take care of us, he made it very bad. View all feedback.
A recent weekend getaway to San Antonio de Areco brought us to this restaurant. The facility is charming and the location is perfect on a leafy city square, but the food was terrible. The Ceasar salad came with a lot of salad and a few cherry tomatoes with much baked dry bread. The accompanying salad dressing with a very strong smell of anchovy was revolting and could not be eaten. The Hamburger 'comlete' consisted of two large pieces of dry white bread with salad, harrow, a thin piece of fried bacon and tomatoes and was barely edible. Kellner did not seem interested in customers. Unless El Tokyo changes the menu and ensures proper quality control, it is best avoided for time. Definitely not worth a return trip.
Got some occasions here and found the coffee very well. Going to the square felt like going to a Texas bar around 1850 where the people stopped talking to the king and looked at the foreigners. Open all day without a break for the Siesta.
Rude staff, who could not be harassed to serve us, only welcome tourists in their city. We made us feel unwilling.
Some of the nicest salads on our two week trip to BA and Uruguay. With the price on the bill in mindful consideration ... a knock out. This is where the locals come for a coffee and a bite to eat. Doubts? Check the photos.
I had a coffee in the sun at the terrace, very peaceful with a view to the central plaza, just a few steps from the must-see church.
