The food here is delicious. The homemade corn tortillas are the best. I love that they serve breakfast all day. They have a great selection to choose from. It's a small place, but they seat us pretty quickly. The bar is a little bit limited, but my husband loves the Lime Margarita. They have decent service as well. View all feedback.
What Hannalore Mueller doesn't like about Tlahco Mexican Kitchen:
As far as Mexican restaurants go, this location does not really live up to expectation. The food is priced very high for simple options (ex. $5 for a bacon egg with one strip of generic bacon) and the flavors are not exceptional—often bland. We ordered a variety of things to get a good idea of flavors, but they all fell short. The best thing here is their bean dip with the chips. Very flavorful and unique, but not wo... Tlahco is now one of our favorites for San Antonio! Delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine! Parradilla mixta al carbon and the conchas are awesome! Alicia was our server and she was perfect!
Tlahco’s menu had me feeling like I was ordering food in Mexico City. That’s right, this ain’t your average taqueria- this is an authentic Mexican restaurant with CDMX style options from tortas to street tacos. The chips and bean dip are a great way to start your meal, while the queso fundido is ??. The bistec torta was also phenomenal. I’ll be back for that concha! I was dying to try it but could not fit another bite into my mouth
Our groups of 20 plus had a monthly brunch and Thlaco was terrific. They fit our group, met our needs, food was delicious, service was on point even during this very busy Saturday brunch time. Plates were cleared, glasses filled. We were all pleased with the restaurant and the quality and various options of food.I ordered Huevos Rancheraa, which was eggs my way, served atop a quesadilla with avacado slices, sides of rice and refried beans. Delicioso!
Saw this place on Tiktok and thought we'd try it. Did not disappoint. A little different than your regular Texmex. It was very flavorful and tasty. I had the tortillas a soup my husband had the mole. So good! Salsa were not spicy but had good flavor... they bought us hips and chorizo bean ..not bad at all. Will definitely go back!Parking: Location is in a shopping strip so parking is limited. You can park out back for extra parking
