Our adventure brought us to @roopubsa today. We wanted to get the fish and chips and were disappointed that it is no longer on their menu. Luckily, the other foods were pretty good. We tried the crocodile bites that was like a Gator meatball. The Joels Loco Chook Wings were the star today. We had the Texas Honey BBQ and Sweet Chili flavors. We still have a lot to eat. The onion rings were immersed in a delish batter.... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Roo Pub:
kahl bouncer with a beard has my girlfriend on the way in. when we were facing him, he was extremely disastrous and continued to harass my friend and I went immediately and will never return. terrible experience View all feedback.
Ambiance: The seating options include bar stools, comfy couches, and more. The atmosphere is lively and fun, enhanced by colorful lights and plenty of TVs around. Service: The service here is excellent! Our waitress was friendly and made sure to keep our beers topped up. This spot is perfect for grabbing drinks with friends.
The fresh-cut fries were excellent, the beer was nicely chilled, and the service from Heidi was exceptional. The entire restaurant was very clean. Be careful not to miss it; it's located in a strip mall just off 281 North, not far from Loop 1604.
It had been a while since my last visit, and I really missed this place. Our waitress, Heidi, was incredibly nice, polite, and attentive. My sister and I ordered the cheese quesadilla and the Philly cheesesteak fries. The pico de gallo was delicious—I asked for extra because we devoured the first cup in just three bites! I noticed a Wemby shirt hanging at the bar and decided I had to get one. When I asked Heidi if there were any extras, she said they had some, but only in XL. What a disappointment...that whole "one size fits all" thing never seems to work out! Also, why is it so cold in this bar?
Spot number two on our bar hopping girls night out. After having a drink at the Angry Elephant, we made our way to the Roo Pub. I typically like going here for food. It's a great place to watch a game with plenty of TVs and activities in the back room. In general, this is my least favorite of the bars on this strip. The crowd is definitely younger, the drinks are primarily rail level, and I have my own tits, so I don't care to have someone else's in my face. Obviously, they know their clientele well. All of the bartenders are females in skimpy outfits. If that's not your scene, save yourself the trouble and go to the bar on the left or the right side of the Roo Pub. This is basically an Aussie-style Hooters.
Came straight from work. WE NEEDED DRINKS.We had no intention of closing the place down. The couch against the wall turned our conversation into a therapy session. After we played darts and pool. The crowd is much younger than the bar next door.
