Located at Hausman and 1604, The Lion Indian Cuisine offers a great little buffet for lunch, Mon thru Friday, something you wouldn't expect in this neck of the woods. Reasonably priced, with standard Indian dishes and naan and desserts, The Lion serves up authentic tastes and flavorful dishes, thus hitting the mark for a quick lunchtime bite. View all feedback.
What swathi gadamsetty doesn't like about The Lion Indian Cuisine:
I went there seeing their rating, but highly disappointed with the options they have for buffet. Not so recommended for vegetarians. Not worth for the money we spent and the taste was average. Seeing less options for the first time in the buffet. They named it as biryani, but it is not even close to the name.Vegetarian options: Not many options for vegetarians View all feedback.
We went at lunch on a Sunday and had a lovely experience. We went in early, before the church crowd got out. This was our first time going to The Lion and look forward to going back. The Lion has a full bar, which is something we look for when we go out to eat. We didn't get an adult beverage, so we cannot say how well they mix.The biggest reason we chose to go to the Lion is the buffet. We love Indian food, but can never remember what exactly we like, and Naan is a no brainer. We enjoyed a little of everything from the buffet. We did skip the desserts. The Mushroom Masala and a chicken dish that did not have a sign. (The chicken is the item in front of the Meatball dish in the video). We will be back to try The Lion at dinner so we can have an adult beverage.
Went there for the lunch buffet and it was great. Fresh food, tasted good, It's spicy but not too hot. Great variety or selection.
Very nice! Quick and delicious Indian food. Totally recommend. Actually spiced. Generous portions.Ordered to go so can't speak to the atmosphere but looked nice and clean inside!
Went during the lunch buffet and really enjoyed everything. Pretty much filled up on chicken Tikka masala, but several of the available dishes were good.Typically Indian food is very spicy, this was not, which didn't produce the big, vibrant flavors I am used to from Indian food. In the flip side, it gave my kids the opportunity to try everything. Totally ok with that trade-off.Enjoyed quite a bit and I'm sure we'll be bank next time we have a hankering for Indian food.
Food is delicious. Courteous and politeful staff. I would definitely come back!
