A beautiful 2 story house that has been converted into a restaurant. The view from the porch overlooks their vineyard... very romantic! The meal isn 't cheap... but then it doesn 't taste cheap either. If you want a ;quick ; meal you can go to Red Lobster, if you want a fine dining experience you 'll love The Vineyard! What Karen González doesn't like about The Juice Experiment:
I 'm sure that this place was great back in the 80s, or whenever it opened, but the atmosphere and menu are outdated and unimpressive. The menu options reminded us of the kind of place we 'd take an aging parent: Look, Mom. Chicken Florentine. You like Chicken Florentine. We both ordered the same soup, but his was warm and mine was cold. Did these soups come from the same pot or the same microwave? Our entrees were e... View all feedback.
My husband and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary here. Absolutely the best restaurant we have been to in months! The food, wine, service and atmosphere was amazing. We requested the wine cellar...and I am glad we did. Extremely romantic setting...can't wait to go back when it cools off so we can sit by the fireplace. Our server Chad helped us pick out our wines and encouraged us to walk around out by the vineyards before we sat down for dinner. Which we did...we got some great pictures too. We can't wait to return!!

We both ordered the same soup, but his was warm and mine was cold. Did these soups come from the same pot or the same microwave? Our entrees were equally unimpressive. Heavy cream, heavy salt, heavy disappointing, which is too bad because the location has potential and is not too far away from San Antonio. If they refresh their menu and interior, we 'd consider going back.
Ate with large group had bites of everything beef tenderloin, seared tuna !! , rack of lamb, Parmesan shrimp !! , and cheesecake. Drank The Show cab and some sweet champagne. Awesome!
Took my girlfriend there last weekend for our anniversary and had the best time. My steak was perfectly med. rare, and I even had to get more of the sauteed mushrooms, they were that good! My girl had the Chilean sea bass special. It was buttery and loaded with seafood on top she only let me have 1 bite but it was awesome! Really romantic, walked outside after dinner. Had great bottle of wine spent $100 best money I've spent on dinner in at least a year.
The first lunch at the Vineyards came with poor service and a mixup by the waitress on the price of a bottle of bubbly. We decided to give it one more try, hoping that this would be a memorable meal for my wife's mother's birthday. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The service was again poor. After ordering a selection recommended by the waiter...we waited. About the time that we felt that the food should be being served, the waiter approached us and said they were out of the recommended selection. We asked for the menus again to make an alternate selection. The we noticed that the prices were higher than when we originally ordered. We asked the waiter and he said we must have gotten a hold of some old menus the first time. Throughout the process, no apology was ever extended by the waiter or staff. When the order came, all I remember is the meat was very tough and not even warm. As for the wine, as expensive as it was, they only filled the glass 1/3 full. Needless to say, we were very disappointed and won't be returning. Oh...and I took the time to contact the owner by email on their website and describe our experience. We never even received an acknowledgment of our complaint...much less an apology. This restaurant has great ambiance and should provide service and food much more in line with the prices charged.
