This place is one of my favorite places in San Antonio! To start, the management and staff are incredibly kind, professional and make a great effort to ensure a quality experience for all guests. Luis specifically helped me sort out a volleyball reservation with efficiency and consideration. What Review Bolt39 doesn't like about Sideliners Grill:
This place is dead! It needs a total makeover. On a Saturday afternoon, there were few people inside. Most everyone was at the other little building by the volleyball sand pit. In the main building, there's too much unused space, very little air conditioning, and s-l-o-w service. There is plenty of parking. Wow, unused and wasted opportunity. View all feedback.
Always a friendly fun vibe. The games are fun the courts are usually open and clean. Call ahead if it’s VB season and you plan on brining a big group with you because they might only have a few courts open. But everyone is pretty friendly and communicates that. Such a great spot for teens and you get kids since they can sit in one of the more open areas and plays it’s the sand. SAND COURTS BTW. they have a nice area for you to wash the sand off at the end of your visit. Very considerate. They have two outdoor bars and their food menu grew a lot in the past two years. Great options and pretty accommodating.
First time visiting this spot. Arrived at 6pm on a Tuesday for beer and burgers. Arrived to a nearly empty building with one other patron in the dining room. No staff were in sight so we decided to sit at the bar. After several minutes of not seeing a single employee, one guy comes walking behind the bar, head down in his phone and just keeps walking. No acknowledgement of our presence or anything. We sat patiently waiting for some service thinking maybe they weren't open yet. The other patron started approaching the bar and looked like she was also trying to get some service. At this point we had been seated at the bar for about 5 minutes without a single staff person in sight. We decided to leave. On our way out, we walked by the office and saw at least 5 employees hanging out and chatting. This was probably the worst first impression I've ever received at a bar and grill. Can't comment on food or drink as we never ordered anything. If this was an indication of their customer service, I won't be going back.

If volleyball isn’t your thing, there are karaoke nights and other events so peek over at their socials to check it out.
First time here it was amazing to see how many courts for volleyball.
