My sister and I were warmly welcomed at the entrance. Our server was cheerful and attentive. I really enjoyed the new facility. I ordered the chicken pepper steak, asking for it to be extra crispy. The wait for our food was quite reasonable, and every bite was absolutely delicious! We will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sherry's Texan Seafood:
My dad swore that this place had the best seafood on the south side. We finally went, and after realizing they had made some changes, we felt a bit let down. We ordered the turtle garnishes with onion rings, but I had oysters and he had fish. It seemed like each type of seafood came with its own bread, which wasn’t ideal, but it was tolerable. However, the onion rings had the worst breading and would easily fall off.... View all feedback.

However, the onion rings had the worst breading and would easily fall off. The food wasn’t bad—it was decent—and the "neighborhood ice cream" was a nice touch. Nonetheless, the staff were friendly and efficient.
I had not been to Sherry's Texan since they moved, but the food was just as good as I remembered. The fish and shrimp were excellent, and the fried chicken was also delicious!
Here's all right. especially the burger. also ordered family cod-fish dinner during the fasting period, which is not disappointed.
It was always decent. One of those affordable hole in the walls that felt cozy feeling. The food was average especially for the price. However ever since they moved locations, the food just gets worse and worse each time. I go because my dad has gone for many years and likes the food and the price... he just likes to go for the fried fish platter. I've gone 5 times since the new location. The food is so bland. The breading for the fish, onion rings, chicken fried steak is terrible. I've ordered food to go 2x as well to take home to my family. Both times I asked for gravy and cheese on the chicken fried steak AND the fries. They just don't understand exactly what that means. The first to go plate only had gravy and cheese on the chicken fried steak; not the fries. The second time, the waiter insisted I get the cheese and gravy on the side so it wouldn't make the food soggy. I thought it was a nice suggestion. They bagged it up knotted it so I would have to rip the bags open to check it. This time they completely left off the gravy and cheese. Wasn't even on the side. Sucks bc the chicken fried steak is so bad it requires the gravy to be decent. It's just frustrating. I give it 2 stars because the service is normally good. They lose stars for food taste and not following simple instructions. Don't worry though, my dad loves it and won't stop going.
