We dined outside and our server, Steve, who also happens to be the bartender, provided excellent service. He was attentive without being overbearing, striking the perfect balance. His strawberry daiquiri was delicious. The loaded potato fries were also a hit, with fresh onions, tomatoes, and bacon bits that weren't gummy. What User doesn't like about Red Robin Gourmet Burgers:
This is the 3rd time I've been at this particular location. This location is understaffed and overworked. I came in and ordered for take out. Not only was my server polite and quick, I saw him make shakes, take other people their orders, and wasn't at all negative. However, once I got back to work and I opened up my food, I was very disappointed, see attached picture. Only a handful of unflavored fries. View all feedback.
I 'm sitting in a Buffalo Wild Wings writing this review of Red Robin because my service was so bad at Red Robin, I paid for food I didn 't eat, went to B-Dubs down the street. Unlike Red Robin, when I sat at the bar at b-dubs I was immediately greeted by the bartender who was actually behind the bar (more on that in a minute). Look, I 've been to Red Robin before and don 't expect much. Just bring me my fries and serve edible food with beer. I 'm *really* not that hard to please. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of stopping into this Red Robin on a week night sitting at the bar (which was not crowded) had to deal with an absent, rude bartender in Benjamin Julian. How do I know his name you ask? For the first time in my life, I had to ask to speak to a manager (Juan Carlos who was awesome) to get the bartender 's name so I could write a formal complaint to the GM. Not only did it take 40 minutes to get my food in a very not busy Red Robin. Benjamin didn 't even bring out some never ending fries to snack on while I waited. The guy next to me had to inquire *twice* about a side salad that took forever to come. I don 't know if the cooks were slow but the bartender, Benjamin, was absent virtually the entire time. It seemed like he was more interested in doing other things than attending the *3 tables* plus me at the bar. When my food finally came after 40 minutes, and my beer completely drained, there was no campfire sauce. This is literally the only thing I come to Red Robin for and it was absent. So I asked if he could bring me some campfire sauce, expedited. He walked off in a huff and brought it back to me and said something rude--it doesn 't bear repeating. I immediately went over to Juan Carlos the manager and complained. I can handle slow, non existent service, but I cannot abide rudeness. Juan Carlos gave me the GM 's card--Ernest Casiano--and I wrote a formal complaint to him. I don 't particularly care whether or not this bartender receives remedial customer service training but there 's a minimal degree of professionalism any individual in a front-facing, customer service role one ought to have and it 's blatantly obvious my man Benjamin skipped that day during orientation. I would advise anyone who expects civility and the bare minimum of acceptable service to stay far away from this Red Robin. It 's just not worth it.
We had a good server, which is the only reason for 3 stars, so I'm putting that up front. She was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations. Red Robin in general is a different experience and not even 3 stars. Fries while we wait? Sure! They weren't even hot. We ordered the onion rings appetizer. Not hot. More fries, you ask? Sure- maybe they'll be hot this time! Nope. Royal Red Robin with a runny egg, please,extra patty. Yolk was a hockey puck and egg was cold, but the patties were hot at least. Whiskey River burger cooked medium, please. Now this was the first in a long time that I'd actually received a burger cooked to the temperature I requested! I was so happy and impressed until I realized it, too, wasn't hot and there were literally about 5 onion straws on it and ZERO bbq sauce. Not a single drop! I thought maybe it was unevenly placed and I'd get to it after a few bites. Almost halfway in and nothing. It was like someone started making it and forgot to finish it. Did I mention it, you ask? I did not, only because the server wasn't around at the time and I wasn't going to get up and hunt her down. I did tell her at the end when she came to check on us and clear our plates. The interior is looking a little old and dated, just like the music that was playing. When was the last time you dined to Shaggy? The campfire sauce was the only thing that was legit, everything else food-wise was pretty mediocre. I hope Red Robin can get its groove back.
Went here for the first time since the pandemic and it was good! James got the scorpion burger and liked it. I got the royal Red Robin with the tavern sauce and it was really good! The only complaint is the fries were kinda cold but nothing that would keep me from coming back :
My little brother has autism and the manager at the Red Robin location (1750 N Loop 1604) bullied him out of eating at that restaurant. I hope you all will help spread the word to stop eating at that location. I left a google review about two months ago when this initially happened, and I recommend you read it for full details. hidden link Please note that this nextdoor account belongs to my mom. I am her middle son. I wrote the Google review and am spreading the word here too But for a shorter rundown: Red Robin was sort of a safe place that my brother would walk to many times a week. He didn 't cause any problems. Apparently the problem that the manager named Ernest had was that my brother didn 't tip. He said that The whole staff has a problem with it. Start taking care of my staff like they take care of you. and start tipping or take your business elsewhere My brother obviously didn 't take this well, now that he felt unsafe in his favorite restaurant. He came home in hysterics and felt like he was hated by the whole restaurant because he did something wrong. Ernest himself was very snarky and never once said sorry. He felt he was doing the right thing by educating my brother. Every talk we had, he doubled down and made it sound like he was a hero. The district manager was no help either. No firing, no demotion, no suspension, no real punishment. He just said Ernest would have extra training over customer service, as if bullies like Ernest don 't already know that it 's wrong to pick on an autistic person. Ernest picked my brother because he saw an easy target and thought he could get away with it. And ultimately he did. I ask all who read this to please to not go to this Red Robin and to please spread the word about the poor way this was handled in the hopes that others will stop supporting this location. The restaurant was willing to bully and kick out an autistic person over something as trivial as a $5 tip. I hope it was worth it because they 've lost my entire family 's support, our friends ' support, and hopefully soon the neighborhood 's support. We deserve better in our community.
I hadn't been to Red Robin for a few years and had forgotten how solid the burgers are. We were sat in the bar area that was completely empty when we arrived and were promptly greeted by the bartender, an older gentleman with a very nice disposition. Our bartender got sat 4 more tables, all back to back and didn't miss a beat. We ordered your standard cheeseburger and they now offer bottomless for every side but we stuck to the fries. Everything came out really fast, fresh and hot. I am giving it 4 because it was a good burger but not the best I've ever had and it was freezing cold in the restaurant. I had to put on a sweater to get through the meal.
