There are several options for Tex-Mex along the Riverwalk, so choose wisely. My group stopped in here because it was close to our boat stop. Late lunch time (around 1) was not too crowded and quick service. I had a Mango salad with creamy cilantro dressing and it was just what I needed, in the midst of eating so much heavy food. The people I ate with both ordered burritos and they were huge, easily splittable. Our wa... View all feedback.
What Doretta W doesn't like about Maria Rita's:
Food and service ... 5 stars. Service was prompt and efficient. The fajitas had a good flavor, moist and plenty of onions. The salsa had some serious heat. Price ... 1 star. $59 for fajitas for two, queso and 2 drinks ... yikes. View all feedback.

I would be inclined to give this business 1 star, because of the host. Slim, dark haired girl at the hostess stand was a real piece of work. Her attitude was super rude and she DOES NOT need a job in customer service. We almost walked away, but we were so hungry we decide to stay anyway. I made sure to get a pic of her. The food and our waiter, who was a young man, was amazing! He gave us several suggestions before we ordered and the things that he suggested was absolutely amazing. I wish I could remember his name but the only thing I remember about him was: he's not 21 yet and he has dark hair. . .not too tall, kind of stout. Yea! Ask for him! LOL We got the tacos, beans and rice with a mango margarita on the rocks and I was in heaven!! The food at this place is so good and I can't wait to get back here!!
Nice place to get out of the heat and try some tasty Tex Mex food. We enjoyed the chicken nachos with the crispy cheesy nacho chips topped with sour cream and guacamole and jalapeños. The beef quesadillas were really good as well. The salsa is served warm and the chips are thin and crispy. We had attentive and friendly service.
I'll start off with the chips and salsa. The chips were okay with not much flavor and the salsa was more of a hot sauce. I ordered the Alamo which comes a taco, cheese enchiladas and a beef tamale. I had a hard shelled chicken taco witch was okay the chicken was good and overall I'd say it was good. The cheese enchilada didn't have much flavor. The tamale had beef that was packed in it. I thought it was a okay tamale. They is a nice outside seating area that is on the riverwalk
Great food, great atmosphere, great waitress. I was so happy that we were able to get in and seated with 0 wait time. We'd stopped at a few other places before knowing this place existed and couldn't be seated because they were at full capacity. Our waitress Renee was friendly, fast and efficient. We will definitely be back.
