Longhorn Steakhouse - San Antonio

I celebrated my birthday dinner at this restaurant and I was satisfied with everything I ordered from the menu. The only downside was our waitress; we had to call her over for drink refills and she forgot to bring our food initially because they hadn't started cooking it. Aside from that, everything was excellent. I've celebrated here for several years and have always enjoyed it.

If you don't feel like getting all gussied up to eat at one of the fancy and snooty steak houses in town, then this is the place for you. The relaxed Texas decor and atmosphere will make you feel right at home. The list of steak cuts and side choices are pretty good. Janie at the New York Strip and I had the small Rib eye. Both were perfectly and the flavor was very good. Just the right spices brought out each bite to enjoy. I'd you like fried okra, then you'll enjoy their twist of preparation of this southern veggie. Overall, this was a good experience. Our waiter was well informed and was attentive but not pesky. If you are looking for a a good steakhouse without all the fancy frills, then this is the place. Not much of an appetizer selection, but still an all around good place. Atmosphere and decor 5 Wait staff 5 Menu choices 4 Cleanliness 4 Definitely recommend dining here.

Busy but seated Cuts of meat outstanding and cooked to order. Alcoholic beverages superb. Enjoyed the experience....

We came here for the first time on June 22nd and had dinner. We had two ribeye sandwiches and the menu recommends cooked to medium. We ordered one medium and one medium rare. When we got them they were both closer to well done. They were somewhat juicy, but the meet was tough. Flavor wise, they were good, but we were just ok with them. The ribeye steak was cooked as requested, medium rare, but it was somewhat tough. Overall it was a good experience and we will come back. Hopefully the ribeyes will be tender by then.

As for me, I usually prefer to eat in when I want something different, but I decided to try their chicken tenders, and they were delicious! The food was so impressive, and the portions were so generous that four days later, we’re still enjoying leftovers. I would definitely recommend Longhorn! My husband, a Texan for 50 years, had never been to this restaurant before, and he absolutely loved it.
