What Shawn Porter doesn't like about La Villita Cafe:
We stumbled upon this restaurant while beginning our journey along the River Walk. The Chicken Cordon Bleu had good flavor, but it was made with a chicken strip instead of a patty or thigh. I only ended up eating half because the rest was just bread. The brisket sandwich had fake cheese and was quite dry, but it did have good smokiness. The fries were not good. The chili had good flavor, but was too thin. Unfortunate... View all feedback.
I visited San Antonio for my birthday and was looking for a delicious breakfast spot. This place exceeded my expectations. It's a hidden gem located along the river walk. Although there was a long line, it moved quickly. Every staff member was friendly and attentive. There was a man going around checking on customers and informing us about specials - he must have been the owner or manager. He was very kind. I ordered the French Toast Special and my boyfriend had the Breakfast brisket sandwich. Both dishes were fantastic, and we couldn't resist trying each other's meals. I would love to see a brisket French toast special on the menu in the future. This will definitely be my go-to breakfast spot whenever I visit San Antonio again. I highly recommend it, a rating of 20/10.

Wow, this place is a must-visit when you're in San Antonio. I came here with two of my close friends, and the manager of the café even helped us find a parking spot. She was so helpful.
This restaurant is a hidden treasure. Five stars simply aren't sufficient to capture our breakfast experience here on our trip to San Antonio's River Walk. The menu is extensive, offering generously portioned dishes at affordable prices. A must-visit spot for any food lover.
