What jose garcia doesn't like about La Tia Bertha:
Agree with Dave Cortez order Texas fajitas meat was too dry like they keep it on the grill all day chicken dry also order lemonade ask if was fresh made he answer unfriendly and assured was fresh taste it flavor was like getting bad or like they are refilling old one with new until a week later flavor change for bad don't drink it and leave food also not coming back don't know how people give 3 or 4 stars View all feedback.
Food was okay. Tacos were about 2 medium bites each. Decent for the price. The gentleman who took my order and handed me the food seemed unprofessional.
AMAZING SPOT! Service was amazing as was food. Service: Take out Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Food: 5 Service: 5 Ambiance: 5 This place is so cozy and the food so authentic that it's more than a restaurant...it's a portal to a time gone by when mom, tia, or tio served up some homemade Mexican food with the secret ingredient (love). You'll reminisce of days full of laughs with loved ones. The restaurant owner is as humble as the location. He takes great care to ensure you have a positive experience here. He knows the secret to making you feel like you're at your Tia's dining room table about to enjoy her cooking. TIP: Order the Cafe de Olla!! This is where the feeling of a warm hug begins. It's truly special. Green Chilaquiles: A little spicy, but perfect. The chips were perfectly crunchy and smothered in delicious green sauce. The potatoes were perfectly fried, crunchy and soft. Pancake: The batter used for the pancake was delicious. The pancake arrived warm, fresh, and fluffy. I didn't meet Tia Bertha , but she already feels like family.
The Mexican coffee was delish. Delicious food and nice atmosphere. I had the puffy taco plate. It had 2 puffy tacos with beans n rice. Very tasty.. It's a bit small inside but, it wasn't very busy and we went on a Sunday around 1 pm. I'll definitely go back for more and take family next time. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20
We come back every couple of weeks or months, and never disappointed. Love the coffee, love the breakfast, and today I tried their caldo de res, flavorful and went well with the tortilla. The owner always make great recommendations!
