The food here is excellent, and the grilled mackerel is among the best in San Antonio. However, the main issue is that I can find larger portions for a lower price elsewhere, which is important to consider. I can't help but wonder if I'd prefer to spend my money on this dish or opt for a steak instead. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Ilsong Garden:
My nephew thought the food was really good, but I wasn't a fan of the flavors. I ordered the ribeye plate, and it was so tough that I struggled to chew it. My sister ordered the teriyaki chicken, and the meat was quite dry. Our server didn’t seem very patient, but the rest of the staff were friendly. Overall, the atmosphere was pleasant. Love the food but one of the waitresses ask if the service and food was good and I replied that it was. Then she asked why I didn't leave a tip. The situation was funny to me but my coworkers were annoyed by the question. I had paid the bill for the whole group and they left a cash tip on the table and waitress just assumed that I should have left a tip. I don't go there as much now.
Great service and the food is top notch. They definitely don’t serve you small servings so come prepared to throw down. Their Kalbi is delicious! Kisses to the chef. Being half Korean and born overseas I definitely get picky about my Korean food but this place 199% satisfies my homesickness. GreaT environment and friendly staff you will definitely enjoy, one of the best Korean spots in town!
The food was good. My daughter loves her. The beef bulgogi was a little dry, but good. Lateral dishes were excellent. We'll be back.
I order the Ribs and a coke food was good , just little expensive $30 for the ribs and rice ? but come more bones ? than meat ?, but was good just think ? need more meat ? Good people there very friendly, will still give 5 stars ?
