High Velocity - San Antonio

While this restaurant in a great resort that has treated us to a great experience, I cannot say the same about this restaurant (Sportbar). I and my family decided to eat here as college football was Saturday. When we sat the game we wanted to watch, the waiter was super friendly and no problem. But after 5 minutes at our table the game was changed in baseball, there was no big deal I asked the waiter if we could get our TV change, he went back to talk whoever he needed to and said sure only give my manager a minute and it? ll be back. After 20 minutes and to see how the TV gets back into a channel via wine, another channel with the wheel of happiness and a third channel of baseball; the waiter came by and continued to tell us?yeah I?m really sorry, but my manager just won't get back?. At this point we decided to just pay and take it to go back to our room and watch the game.

Incredible food, great selection, reasonable prices, and fantastic waitstaff. It's an ideal spot for families, and their burgers are simply outstanding. I absolutely love this place!

The food was excellent, but unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. I requested a manager to address my concerns, but no one ever arrived at my table. I also called about my receipt, but did not receive any response. Eventually, I found the manager myself and was promised a refund for my meal, but that never materialized. Our waiter did not check on us for refills, and it took over 30 minutes to receive our bill, despite the restaurant not being busy. It seemed like the waiter was more focused on another table of similar size. While we loved the hotel, we won’t be returning to this restaurant.

Updated review. They no longer have the brisket nachos. What a downer. Service on the second visit was very slow. The food was good with the exception of the fried pickles which are cooked and served with fried jalapeños. Asked for regular ranch and never got it. The brisket nachos are extremely good! Fried picked were not bad. Loved the wings, burgers and fries. Staff was very friendly.

Food, meh. Service varied, sometimes we got stuff quickly, sometimes it took 30 minutes. Husband brought me a veggie burger. It arrived with no black bean and corn salsa. So effectively I had avocado toast with a beyond pattie, served with a side of over salty fries. So overall, it's mediocre at best. Given the choice, I'll eat at Rivertop for the remainder of my stay food and service was much better.
