Golden Chick - San Antonio

Fish combo was good although fish was a bit smaller than anticipated for the price. Receipt was confusing as it did not state the items as I purchased. Overall price appeared to be in the ballpark. Sides were very good.

Ordered a chicken strip meal with shrimp added on. Food came out fairly quick. Order was accurate, food was hot and fresh.

I absolutely adore this fast food chain! However, this location has run out of several items, such as straws, lids for the gravy/sauce containers, and some sizes of their drink cups. They've made an effort to substitute with other options, though. I really enjoy the freshly breaded chicken, crispy fries, and delicious yeast rolls! I would definitely recommend this place to others.

I first tried this restaurant in Castroville, Texas, and I was really impressed. I told my wife how delicious the chicken, mac and cheese, and rolls were. Last night, my wife suggested we give it another go. I ordered her the 4-piece chicken strip combo with a side of fries. Oh my goodness! She loved it! She even said she no longer wants Church's or Bush's chicken. She ended up finishing all my mac and cheese, and now she's a big fan of Golden Chick. Thank you for serving such great-tasting chicken!

There are plenty of chicken options around, but Golden Chick is my favorite. I ordered fries as a side, and they were fantastic—fresh, hot, crispy yet tender. I’m definitely heading back today!
