What User doesn't like about Fruteria La Tropicana:
The snacks at this restaurant were excellent and the place was very clean. However, our experience was somewhat marred when we purchased $60 worth of snacks on a Sunday at 9:45 a.m., only to be informed by a female employee at 10:12 a.m. that they were closing at 10. We felt rushed and had to finish our snacks outside. While we didn't complain, the situation was not handled very nicely. View all feedback.

Wow! I was really impressed by how spotless and clean everything was at this restaurant. They offer a wide variety of delicious frozen treats, including various flavors of paletas and snacks like corn in a cup and frito pie. I tried a mangonada and it was the best I've ever had! I highly recommend stopping by soon for a sweet and tasty treat—I can't wait to go back!
I wish I had discovered this restaurant sooner. The food was incredibly delicious and fresh. I ordered a cup of street corn and a mangonada, both of which were excellent. The staff was very friendly and easy to talk to. The prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food. Everything seemed to be freshly prepared that day, which made a noticeable difference in taste. The fruit was especially impressive, much better than what you find in stores, and clearly prepared with care. The establishment was clean and well-managed. In addition to their regular offerings, they also serve seasonal fruits like prickly pear when available, allowing customers to truly experience the joy of a neighborhood fruit stand.
Cute place lots of options very clean. We love all the colors and set up. Just needs help with customer service. The day time we stopped it was not extremely busy inside. We ordered and I decided not to order my 3 yr son anything because I didn't see anything he really liked. As I get my daughters treat and return to get the others one she was still finishing up .. he decides he wants a chocolate cone. I kindly asked the girl if we could add a cone and she said.... I can get that BUT I have several orders to do before I can get to the cone ?. We sat and enjoyed our treat and my son NEVER got his cone. Adding a cone to an order that wasn't even completed wasn't going to take hours from other orders. I thought that was RIDICULOUS. That will be the one and only time we visit. My 8 yr old daughter ordered fresas en crema and said they weren't as sweet as another place we tried. My husband ordered the corn in a cup with cheese and said it had no flavor. My mangonada was ok..... we probably would have returned because it's closer to our home but due to the service.... we probably won't go back. We love trying out different fruit locations so far ICE ICE baby is at the? top?.
The first and probably last time we're here. the dining room was very dirty, the girl that took our order, bite her nails when we arrived. also took off their 10% when they post on social media what I did. However, I always ended twice for my nachos, which I would not have known if I had not taken in, and also not the 10% discount. When I asked for a refund, there was no excuse for giving them a presentation of their customer loyalty. oh well worked as reaction to the owner, it is a shame that instead of taking this review as constructive criticism, insulted and refusing to confirm the bad service that was given. I realize it's a human error, it happens. but as entrepreneurs, they do better with how they get reviews, these are people (including me) who have decided to spend their hard earned money here. what a shame
