The food is usually good, but it's not consistent. Sometimes it tastes so yummy, other times it's a meh. The bean and cheese tacos are not it, at all, their beans are runny and flavorless and the cheese is just strange. Their mini taquitos and beef fajita quesadillas are pretty great! Wife and I used to love ordering from here and would get it delivered to the house but the last few times we ordered, the food would just make us sick. I usually have an iron stomach as I once got severe food poisoning in Mexico and since then nothing ever gets me sick, but the last few times from this place, spent most of my day in the bathroom. I just had the beef fajitas, chicken fajitas, carne guisada, avocado, and soft tortillas, and everything was delicious. I highly recommend it!

I've lived in San Antonio my whole life, while other places are adding fusion food and raising prices drastically, fajita express has kept their food at a high quality and their prices have barely fluctuated. The restaurant looks smaller than it actually is and can accommodate quite a few people inside with a wonderful atmosphere inside. I'm a fan of their fajitas but don't forget about their breakfast tacos. The best time to go is off times so you don't get a like, but you can also call ahead and order your meal.
