I'm a native San Antonian, and a tex mex foodie. I will confidently say that the quesabirilla tacos, the al pastor, and the chicken tingas tacos are the BEST I have had in all of San Antonio. The customer service of this family owned Taco Truck is amazing everyone is nice and very personable. If you haven't tried the tacos from this specific taco truck you are greatly missing out.Thank you to the family that owns and... View all feedback.
What Aldo Ferraro doesn't like about El Pastorcito Food Truck:
This restaurant is not as good as it used to be. The last three times we had tacos from here, we were disappointed. We wanted to support local businesses, but today was even worse. The cilantro and limes were old, the meat was undercooked and tasted old too. We understand you may have been trying to save money, but on a Friday night, we expected better quality. Came to this restaurant a few hours ago with my partner because we were hungry and couldn't find the taco truck we were looking for. He ordered 3 pastor tacos and I got 1 asada and 1 Al pastor. The tacos were packed full of meat and the pastor was deliciously seasoned with pineapples. The tacos were made with flour and were soft and just the right thickness to hold all the toppings without falling apart. The Al pastor had great seasoning and the pineapple was sweet. The asada was juicy and flavorful, not dry like in some places. I'd love to come back and try the gringas or the sincronizada. They even have LA dirty dog here, which I sometimes crave. The avocado salsa we tried was good, but I wish they had verde salsa with tomatillos. The condiments were neatly placed and the parking lot was well lit. Even the packaging was neat. Overall, a fantastic experience and we may have found our new favorite spot. 10/10! Thank you for reading this long review.
The tacos al pastor were excellent! Some of the best I've ever tasted.
I love the excellent customer service and delicious tacos at this restaurant. I make sure to eat here at least once a week.
The pastor tacos are delicious, but the salsas are not great. They do not have any sodas, only Mexican sodas for $3 each. I am only giving them three stars because they tend to overload you. They do not display prices outside the food truck and will simply add extra items without informing you. Be sure to check your total before paying to dispute any additional charges. Additionally, they charge an extra $1 for credit card transactions without prior notice. Be aware of these practices when dining at this establishment.
