Great customer service! There was a 20-30 min wait, but the lady took down my phone number then called me once a table is ready. The server was really friendly and pleasant and always checked on us periodically. First time here since I didn?t have much hope in San Antonio with Asian food, but this is a GEM!! Now I don?t have to travel to Austin/Houston for pretty good dim sum anymore ???? View all feedback.
I was first introduced to dimsum by a friend in Chicago three years ago and since then I?ve had it every city I travel to. The four star review is because there are only two dim sum places in San Antonio and this one was better. One can the the food is freshly made and it is a family business. On the other hand, I would prefer if the sticky rice has more filling. And unfortunately they aren?t good with fried dishes (just the eggrolls which are magic)
Being in the mood for sum Dim Sum, we chose this joint for the taking. The establishment is located in a very congested plaza, so good luck finding parking. Inside, the restaurant was a bit busy. Luckily, there was one table available for the wife and I. The dining room was lacking color and personality. It also could of also used some music to add more ambiance, just an observation. We chose the shrimp dumplings, pork dumplings and beef fried rice. The fried rice was excellent, not too salty and decent meat portions. The amount of filling the dumplings had were overstuffed. I know it sounds like a silly complaint but I am not a huge fan of bite sized food being non bite sized if that makes sense! The same goes for if I'm eating sushi. Overall, service is a thumbs up and the hot oil is great too. Prices are reasonable as well. Not the best Dim Sum that we've had, but maybe it'll be the best for another guest. 3.6/5
I rate this restaurant five stars because it’s the best spot for Chinese food in San Antonio. While the Chinese food scene in Houston is just average, San Antonio’s offerings are generally pretty disappointing. Compared to the other Chinese restaurants in the city, this place stands out as exceptional. Be prepared for a long wait to be seated, but it's definitely worth it!
This restaurant is a great find in San Antonio! Instead of the usual push carts, everything is ordered from the menu. Other than that, this place is truly a gem!
The food and service at this restaurant are absolutely amazing. Since I wasn't familiar with most of the menu, I used Google and Yelp to help me decide based on the photos. I ordered three plates of Dim Sum, and each one came with three generously sized pieces, filled with delicious ingredients (not doughy at all). I left feeling completely satisfied and happy. My only complaint is that my meal would have been perfect with a cold beer, but they only serve tea, water, and soda.
