Came here on a Sunday after church with a group of 12. The restaurant was very busy, but they did a great job working with our group, our server was outstanding, and the food excellent. The only negative is the same you see in so many restaurants in this post-COVID/high labor cost/inflation-driven economy: the amount of food you get for what you pay is not nearly what it was and to get a full meal meat/veggie/starch... What Thalassa Edwards doesn't like about Bourbon Street Seafood Kitchen:
I had crabcakes Tasted like it came out of a can, it was pretty though. 1 bite was all i could get down. Gumbo soup was way too much powdered rue was strong taste was ok, salty i ate half the bowl because I was hungry. There goes trying new places! My husband had the oysters he loved them. The only negative is the same you see in so many restaurants in this post-COVID/high labor cost/inflation-driven economy: the amount of food you get for what you pay is not nearly what it was and to get a full meal meat/veggie/starch you end up paying extra for the third item. Just a bummer, but with the cost of goods and labor through the roof it is a miracle any restaurant can stay in business. The team here did a great job, and we appreciate all they do.
Ordered the Red Beans and Rice w/Andouille to go, and it definitely was NOT up to par to what traditional red beans and rice should be. The flavor was off and it was very dry. I will say, the portion for the price was good. It is definitely enough for 2 maybe 3 servings. Just a disappointing flavor.
I had the Sea bass with spiral vegetables, the appetizer of mussels, escargot, and oysters on half shell .. everything was perfection
We went to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was excellent. I love coming here. Calamari is the best in town!
Food was tasty, we had New Orleans Mahi Mahi and Jambalaya..But$30 for Jambalaya which was mainly a big dish of rice was ridiculously priced...Also $5.00 for Caesar side salad which was a few Lettuce leaves and no where tasted like Caesar dressing..asked for dressing on the side and it tasted like a dish of Mayonnaise..Sent it back and got salad with ranch dressing..Still ridiculously priced $5.00 for such a small Lettuce salad..
