Big Lou's Pizza - San Antonio

There were too many children in the bar area for those of us who left our kids at home for a date night. However, the food and service were excellent and on point, as always!

We had our company luncheon and everything was excellent. The parking was easy to access and leave.

The pizza lives up to its reputation, but the pasta was not very impressive, especially the Alfredo sauce had a lingering aftertaste that I wasn't a fan of. However, the chicken in the pasta was amazing. The service was just okay, but considering it was the end of the night, I'll cut the server some slack. My recommendation would be to stick with the pizza. ?‍

Last night we were there and everything was great until the end, our waitress seemed kind til she didn 't let us know about the gratuity she added. Note she suggested while we were paying that this is where you 'd add the tip, also she never actually gave me receipt. Moving forward to paying I had already pressed 20% when my mother questioned didn 't she already add the gratuity than the waitress said 'oh I don 't know let check ', first off I 've been a waitress before to know and the way it works is, you as the waitress add the gratuity or ask a manger to do so of you, so her acting as if she didn 't know really felt like she was trying to get a double tip from us. After that she seemed bothered that we didn 't tip more after she added that gratuity. So please be aware and check or ask to see your receipt before paying. Other than that everything was great.

Big Lou’s is the place to go in SATX for pizza!! You won’t be disappointed with the size nor the taste! I recommend getting there early because you will be waiting for an hour so on the weekends because the pizza is so good. No reservations on the weekend either. That’s understandable because they get so packed because the pizza speaks for itself. Trust me you will be back. We have been back several times already since moving here in 2019.
