Benjie's Munch - San Antonio

The grilled cheese trophies are proof enough that you should drop by for a bite. The people working are VERY kind. Space is small for how crowded it was, and we heard about this place from a friend. It’s a known spot in the area and it didn’t disappoint. Barbacoa grilled cheese, house made chips, and real cane sugar big red? YES. We will be going again. Gotta try something else!

Fantastic spot! Incredible food, and amazing service! Counter service spot with burgers, salads, a wide array of sandwiches, and other comfort foods done exceptionally well. Once you place your order, you grab a number and take a seat. When your food is brought out, they're quick to ask how everything looks and offer condiments and napkins. While eating we were checked up on by both counter staff and the owner. They really want you to enjoy your meal, and it shows. Quick with recommendations and suggestions. We had the award winning spinach and artichoke grilled cheese with bacon and house made chips, the 1/2 pound patty melt with fries, and the best chicken sandwich with fries. All were delicious. Their bacon is habit forming. The bread for the grilled cheese and patty melt was delicious and crispy from edge to edge. High quality beef and chicken, and cooked perfectly. This spot is in our rotation short list for sure. Highly recommended!

A group of us are doing a 30 day keto challenge right now, so we decided to check this place out! Benjie's Munch has an actual keto menu! The place was super busy at lunch, and rightfully so their food was amazing! We tried their famous keto quesadillas, keto burger, keto patty melt, flash fried green beans, brussel sprouts, as well as bacon deviled eggs. Everything was fresh, made to order and delicious! The service was amazing as well! All the staff were super friendly and welcoming! We'll definitely be back to try their other items...after the keto challenge ends of course!

28 Apr 2023Our monthly lunch with our niece took us here. Quite the extensive menu: burgers, patty melts, barbacoa grilled cheese, salads, keto options, chicken on a stick, corn dogs, various other sandwiches, desserts, sodas, etc. The menu goes on and on. We had a patty melt, the barbacoa grilled cheese and the candied jalapeño bacon cheeseburger. The hamburger Pattie's are divine, melt in your mouth. They grind their burger meat daily. Our three sandwiches, three drinks and an order of fries was $56. May be a bit pricey, but really good. We got a punch card. Eat ten times, get the next one free. We have three punches. Go there.

Odd music for sure but the food drones that out ..Great service friendly staffThe artichoke dip fav. Burger just ok bland ,chicken much better choice. With there unique sides .Fried greenbeans good and a very lite fried Brussel sprout leaves was different. So much to try still it's a repeat stop for meFood: 4/5
