Babe's Old Fashioned Food - San Antonio

I've been to Babe. Usually the other place and the other place is 10/10. The staff is always great, super nice and friendly. This location was pretty clean, the staff was so. We have two specials and a children's meal. Apparently, children eat free that I didn't know BUT they couldn't be combined with the specials. Then the employee told me that I could change a special offer with the regular menu item and I was so confused that I paid it anyway. When I paid, it didn't seem much cheaper. Honestly, I thought the server employee who took the order should have explained what kind of order would have been cheaper for us. You should be helpful. I also asked about crispy pommes and they were soft and delicate.

Service is usually very good, but this time I only received one of my orders. I thought it might take a little longer since I requested a special order. After some time and my friends were almost ready with their food I went and checked it. I asked the line chef if my job was almost done and asked the name under which he was standing. I told him and he saw the orders he had completed. He found it right away and apologized. He missed the second order. The cashier had marked it red, so not sure how he missed it. The food was great as usual.

The burgers are great here. We also loved the fried pickles! You have a large beer selection with some TVs to catch some sports. You order and sit yourself. The staff was great and fast. Even if you order a meal, you will receive a free children's meal, 10 and below!

Okay, so my burger was a bit salted, but the ambience matched the food and that adds to a great experience. The Jukebox volume was a Tad Soft and I could hardly hear my songs. All these things mean nothing, but the milkshake we had was about the best I can remember, and that deserves this place 5 stars for me. I don't know if it was a curse or not, but we'll see if they can reconstruct this milkshake and if the burger was also something about salt.

I got the Spicy buffalo chicken burger. Let me just say that it was cooked throughly good and it was such a large piece. That was so worth the price and very filling.
