There aren't many Applebee's locations in town, so I had to make the trip to the Southside from the west side. When we arrived, the hostess simply asked how many were in our party, without offering a greeting or welcome. After being seated, we thanked her, but again received no response. On a positive note, our waitress was friendly, attentive, and provided good service. The food was enjoyable as well. Aside from the... View all feedback.
What Kristofer Hackett doesn't like about Applebee's:
Our order came out wrong. Drinks had very little alcohol in them, tasted more like sweet juice. My steak had no taste neither did their so called macaroni. Husbands plate came out with bbq sauce all over the plate. They brought him the wrong mixed drink. The bathroom is completely disgusting. Just don't come here. I wish I could give it zero stars. We had a great Dinner for Two deal for $25, which included one appetizer. There was a generous amount of food, and to be honest, it was pretty good!
I know I have pretty much vouched for Applebee 's and Chili 's in my history of Yelp Critiques but today was unfortunately not it. I playfully got my own menu as the first two servers passed us by with a someone will be right with you and as we sat and ordered our drinks, we didn 't get a chance to order the appetizers with it. Friday evenings though. . . I get it, but for the first time in my adult life I actually sent back a dish. The chicken dish I ordered (the name was way too long to remember) was actually terrible, the chicken was burnt to a crisp, to where I even struggled to cut it with a knife. The severely overcooked pasta underneath had the smallest drizzle of bacon Alfredo sauce. I felt terrible sending it back, but the waitress that took care of us just seemed drained. In fact the entire staff just had so little energy it started bringing our energy down, and we were trying to celebrate a birthday. Oh and there was a FLY IN MY SONS DRINK The olive branch of everything was the Wonton Tacos. These came out with an impeccable taste, and was the perfect size for an appetizer for 2.
Maannn.... Food. Delicious! ESTABLISHMENT....... suuckkkked. Firstly our waiter was HIGH AFF, and barely looked up at us I guess to hide her eyes bc she was high saw a group of servers leave outside and come back in together 5 min later. Clearly HIGH. You can smell the weed we would look around for a waiter because we would need something and wait for minutes because no one was on the floor at least 2-3 times we needed her and couldn't find her. She even walked past us as I said excuse me ma'am and kept walking, probably because the music was so loud. I could barely hear my bf talking to me. At one point there was LITERALLY not one employee in the area, not the bar, the dining floor, by the door. Nowhere to be seen. Mind you people came in waiting to be greeted and seated. About 10-12 min passed they left and the manager came out and so did server. We just got out Togo boxes and left. Also it was hot affffff in there.
11:11 leaving Applebee's with a full tummy!! The all you can eat was a huge hit with the Honey Pepper wings, garlic parm wings, BBQ riblets were LIT! Popcorn shrimp was flavored amazingly and each one was a firework display in my mouth! Hubby enjoyed a mango strawberry margarita and I had a yummy strawberry lemonade. The spinach artichoke dip was super nuked and the chips were a bit stale other wise could of been a 5 star review. The atmosphere was kick back and music was bumping!! Almost forgot our Cinnabon treats to go now those were melt in your mouth delish!
In comparison to other Applebee's locations, the quality of the food here was disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
