I admit, I am hard when reviewing restauarants. I review those that are great, or bad. Not really in between. I travel for work. And eat supurb food all over the US and world. So I am picky. I hate average food. I despise pitiful service. For what we pay to eat out now a days, I except a certain level of good service which is getting harder and harder to find. We have been happy next to this place today. I never did. my man was back when they were in the city. this is a beautiful location with a.
I stopped this afternoon. it was a nice day, so I wanted to eat on their terrace. it wasn't busy since I arrived after lunchtime.
The worst service I've ever experienced. the bartender, mario, was very rude when we had set ourselves, I asked him about a drink menu and he.
The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and good service, but the food is average overall. The charro beans were a standout, being very tasty. Each person in our group ordered something different and we all had drinks, which were well-made. It was amusing when our waiter brought out three bowls of salsa for our party of six, but then informed us that we had to pay for chips. This was surprising to me, as every Mexican restaurant I've been to in Texas, even small ones, usually offer complimentary chips. We ended up ordering chips and other appetizers. I suspect that because the restaurant is located in a upscale neighborhood, the owner is trying to maximize profits, which could explain the mediocre quality of the Mexican food. Lupe Tortillas nearby offers much better dishes overall, although the charro beans at this restaurant were exceptional.
I love coming to this restaurant for a delicious lunch with friends in the area. The food is always fresh and hot, and the service is terrific.
