This small unassuming restaurant delivers fine Central American organic food with a very friendly staff. Definitely worth a try for any fans of south of the border food.
The food and drinks here are superb! Do not miss the steak fajitas or the fish tacos, also the Sangria is really good. The waiter and service is some of the nicest and best we have had even compared to very expensive places. Everyone is so friendly without imposing, and the food is always fresh, never greasy or too salty, just healthy and delicious. It's our favorite Mexican Restaurant in the whole bay area. Gourmet food for those who love to eat quality and the prices are most reasonable. Every meal we have had here has been outstanding!
We visited for lunch and were thoroughly impressed. The quality of the Mexican and Central American food was exceptional. The chicken surpassed what we usually find at other similar restaurants, with less salt and grease. We particularly enjoyed the chicken fajitas and chicken enchiladas. I believe I had the best Sangria I've ever tasted, and the watermelon agua fresca was delightful! The way they caramelized the onions and peppers with the meat was fantastic. Our server was excellent as well. The beans and rice could have been warmer, and there was a bit of a wait for our food since everything is made fresh, but we appreciate that. We’re eager to return and try the steak or beef tostada that the lady at the next table was raving about!
I enjoyed a great top-shelf margarita and the guacamole was tasty, though it could use a bit more salt and acidity. The fish tacos were also delightful. However, I was surprised to find that the enchiladas didn’t contain any cheese. Overall, it’s quite an expensive place considering what you receive.
