The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and is very enjoyable. I was looking forward to trying their chicken, but it lacked flavor. I also ordered shrimp, and unfortunately, they were bland as well. What User doesn't like about La Carbonera:
Called in a burger for pickup 45 minutes before arriving because I had heard about the wait times. Waited in line for 10 minutes to say I had a call in. After telling the kitchen, I was told it was being assembled because they didn't want it to get soggy. That's fine. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and is quite enjoyable. However, I think they could improve by shredding the chicken for their chicken tacos, as they lacked flavor. I also tried the shrimp tacos, and unfortunately, the shrimp didn’t have much taste either. On a positive note, their beans were delicious, and the mango michelada was incredible! I’ll definitely return to try other dishes!
Great location for quality Mexican food. Nice location to meet with family. The service was very friendly and attentive. It has a good interior.
The portions are a bit on the small side for the price, but the flavors of the food are fantastic!
This place is Amazing. They EVEN have a drive thru. They make tacos with a tortilla made of cheese. I always get two tacos..... They are So flavorful and juicy. Delicious . Delicious. Delicious. The green sauce is uber fantastic. Its A spicy cilantro,avacodo jalapeno concoction. Goes great on everything. The staff is super friendly. This place is gonna have line out the doorwhen the secret of how good they are gets out.
As for the service, it left much to be desired. It felt like the cashier wasn’t fond of me for some reason, despite my polite demeanor. She seemed to be having a bad day and was rather curt with me. I chose not to react negatively and just maintained my smile and politeness. My friend, who had the same order, said his was great. This was my first experience at the restaurant. On a positive note, I was impressed with how they utilized the space in such a small building; it reminded me of similar burger joints I’ve visited in Dallas and San Antonio, TX. I’m not sure if I’ll go back, but I might consider giving it a second chance when the time comes.
