Although it's off the beaten path and can be challenging to find if you're not familiar with the area, this is definitely one of the best meals I've ever experienced. I highly recommend trying the deviled eggs, any of the pasta dishes, or the lamb. Plus, the prices are reasonable and the service is excellent.
I had dinner with a friend on a weekday and tried the lobster ravioli along with Brussels sprouts as a side dish. Both dishes were excellent! I thoroughly enjoyed the food.
I rated this restaurant three stars solely because the food was excellent. However, the service was disappointing. We visited for my daughter's birthday, and there were six of us, including her three well-behaved children, aged seven, nine, and eleven. It's important to mention their ages to emphasize that they were not noisy toddlers causing a disturbance. Unfortunately, our waiter seemed barely engaged and didn't appear interested in attending to us. The restaurant was not busy that Thursday night. My daughter and son-in-law are regular diners at various San Antonio restaurants, and I was visiting from California. We chose this restaurant based on their past positive experiences, but due to the terrible service we encountered on such a special evening, we will not be returning.
Love this restaurant! Market salads are always interesting and delicious. Basil gimlets are amazing!
