Mediocre food that tries to present itself as gourmet by giving small portions. Food wasn’t good. Interior has little effort put into it. Server awkward, doesn’t cost much but is still overpriced. Don’t believe me? Go try for yourself. Order the «alleged burrata» and fruit plate shameful appetizer, just a pinch of canned burrata/cottage cheese probably, a few leaves, and a few pieces of fruit, very unappetizing presentation. I was in disbelief of this dish honestly. Will not be back. Strange server, does not make eye contact probably because he knows the truth about the mediocre food. The crab pasta had almost no crab. Stingy. I’m shocked by the high rating on google. And such a small Menu. Not much to choose from. You’d think what IS available would be good.
Simple and modern decor, owner that’s passionate about putting out great food and delicious fresh dishes. Scallops were cooked to perfection and the nice fresh organic salad was light and flavorful. I got a chance to chat with Henry who runs the whole show himself. Number 5 kitchen is an unassuming gem with rotating menus for seasonal ingredients. Don’t pass it up! Service: Dine in
This place is just amazing. In my top two restaurants in San Carlos, especially as a vegetarian. The chef is now doing everything. You order from your table with your phone. The pandemic was really hard on restaurants. The food here is just the best. Obviously quality ingredients. Every bite of asparagus in my pasta was just perfect and bursting with flavor due to the quality of the produce and the expert preparation. This has been true every time I've eaten here. Truly special.
I went there after reading quite a few reviews. May be you should have taste for this. I mostly had pizza in papa Johns , dominos , pizza huts etc.. The Pizza I ate here way off my expectation. As I South Indian it felt more like chapati. This wasnot for me for now.
