Cody's Bistro & Lounge - San Andreas
Cody's Bistro & Lounge
Description
Del Frisco Grill in Brentwood has received high praise from diners, with a special nod to the delicious steak salad and efficient service despite some minor hiccups. On the other hand, Cody's Bistro has received mixed reviews, with some customers enjoying the food and cocktails while others were disappointed by the menu changes and lack of communication. Cody's, however, continues to be a popular spot for foodies who appreciate the unique dining experience it offers with a world-class chef and a variety of wines and spirits. Despite some inconsistencies, both restaurants have their loyal patrons who are willing to give them another try for a dining experience worth remembering.

First timers here! Thought it was just a normal basic bar/grill. But after entering realized it’s a lot fancier then I thought. checked out it the menu, and knew we were actually in for a great dinning experience! Starting with e Japanese bread, kids heard about and always wanted to try..glad we did! Sooo yummy n fresh! Burger was perfect. Lots of flavor without being sloppy. The best item was the Lobster Mac n cheese. Absolutely delicious. Friendly waitress and host too. Highly recommend, but not if you have a budget as it’s but worth the price if your prepared for the price.
2 stars only because the appetizers were off the hook. Steaks were ok, almost like they purchased from sams. Wine selection is OK. But the service was complete dog shot! From the walk in the hostess greeted us with a Yeah ? Server was inattentive. Of course, manager makes excuses for his employees. Do not recommend, ever. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Been to Cody’s several times, both in San Marcos and New Braunfels. Their food, drinks, and service, is always amazing. Now to the reason for four stars instead of five. I learned recently that Cody’s no longer serves duck poutine. It’s very difficult to find a restaurant in the southern states that has poutine on their menu, much less find a place that does them good, like Cody’s did. If you’re reading this, please bring back the duck poutine!
At first it seems like the place is welcoming and knows it 's worth it to the customers. We sat at the bar and read through all the menus where the prices are high but it was expected for a place that even the staff hold their head high to. The drinks were the star attraction except I couldn 't justify the 20 dollar drink when for the entire bottle of Japanese whiskey, it was cheap 20 bucks. Still was good so I just enjoyed from the experience of it. The staff wasn 't as attentive to us and kept talking to other coworkers at the bar or perhaps a well know patron, who know and/or who cares. The food was the saddest excuse of all about the experience that Cody 's claims for their restaurant. The cesar salad was over priced and not justified. I have been to Tijuana Mexico where the O.G salad was made , table side and for the amount I paid last night of the salad alone was just disappointing. To keep it short: watery ,tasteless green crunch with Parmesan cheese shavings. We did like the yellowtail though.
