Another diner mentioned that the restaurant, though lacking in ambiance, had delicious vegetarian options and warm staff. There were also complaints about slow service and errors in the dishes served. On a more positive note, the restaurant was praised for its homemade pastas and excellent Italian cuisine, albeit on the pricier side. The staff, ambiance, and food quality were highlighted in a separate review, with a mention of a somewhat small ribeye steak for the price. Overall, the restaurant was described as a pleasant dining option with noteworthy service.
Best homemade pastas in the Gaslamp. In fact best Italian around. Great reserve wine menu. Slightly pricey for SD but reasonable compared to other cities. Worth a taste
Fun patio in front to enjoy 5th street; very nice welcome by the hostess; server took great pride in his service delivery, streak and sides were very good. Overall, an enjoyable dinning option
Food was excellent as was the service. Will definitely return.
I just had a some pruschetta and spaghetti carbonara and was delicious, staff was very friendly. I will definitely come back.
Restaurants. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. From the homemade pastas to the savory sauces, every dish is a delight. I highly recommend Carne Prima to anyone looking for a true Italian dining experience.
