What Stephanie Barinas dislikes about Big E Cafe:
The cashier should ask, "Are you going to eat it now?" If the answer is YES, then just give it in a wax paper bag, and that's sufficient. For just ONE EMPANADA, I received one paper bag, three napkins, and an excessive amount of wax paper, as if it were a gift! Let's make an effort to be more eco-friendly, everyone. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, and my egg and potato empanada was delicious and full of flavor. The coffee selection was impressive as well.
The Sausage, Egg, and Cheese sandwich is exceptional! It's fresh and tasty. I highly recommend it!

We adore this restaurant. It's our go-to spot for weekend breakfast. The empanadas are delicious and the staff is very friendly.
If you haven't visited this restaurant yet, you are missing out. Stop whatever you are eating now and go check it out. You can thank me later.
The service was fantastic! I originally went in for just one empanada for breakfast but ended up getting three because they were so delicious. Highly recommend.
A casual place in a strip mall serving very tasty and a variety of empanadas. I tried their breakfast sausage empanadas and two of their sweet empanadas. Very tasty and filling. Their drip coffee and barista made coffee are also great. Warm and friendly service. Highly recommend BigE cafe.
We split four empanadas: the spinach cheese, the Mediterranean, the chicken mushrooms, and the traditional Peruvian. They were all great, but between two people, you'll wanna plan to order more. Would be nice if they offered some side dishes too, and apparently they don't have plates.

Fast service. We got an apple and cranberry empanadas with Carmel frappes. Both came out right.

The best empanadas in San Jose!!! We moved to Sacramento from San Jose 4 years ago and still every time we visit our friends in San Jose we will go their to get empanadas and coffee. We just love that place
This place has the best Empanadas in the South Bay. Their beef empanadas is most popular and also my favorite. It has olives, raisins, onions, and other things. So it's more flavorful and fun to eat than the ones at other restaurants. Other empanadas are good too. Try them out for yourselves. You won't be sappointed. I hope that the restaurant will continue to use better ingredients and make the empanadas taste good. Inflation is here. Whatever you(restaurant) do, raise the prices if you must, but do not cut back on the ingredients!
