Barrachina - San Andreas
Barrachina
Description
Barrachina restaurant, located in Old San Juan just one block from La Fortaleza, has been serving both tourists and locals for over 40 years in the historic city. The colonial building, over two centuries old, features an interior courtyard and lush tropical foliage. This iconic establishment is the birthplace of the world-famous piña colada, created by don Ramon Portas Mingot in 1963. A trip to San Juan would not be complete without experiencing Barrachina. To reserve a spot for the Flamenco show on Friday and Saturday evenings, please get in touch with the restaurant directly.

Feedback
They accepted and confirmed a reservation for a restaurant that was closed. terrible.
The waiter I encountered was not friendly. We had to actively seek him out for service, and he seemed bothered by any additional questions we asked. He never refilled our glasses or checked in on us. When I mentioned an issue with my meal, he provided a dry excuse and did not rectify the problem. I should note that he had a large party to attend to, so his frustrations may not have been solely directed at me.
We have booked specifically due to the birthplace of pina colada, found it cut. also strange that burger and wraps after 17 o'clock could be ordered the children's menus for adults with seafood allergies, but could not be ordered from the main menu. we had previewed the menu before booking, but did not see the fine print regarding burger, packing and sandwiches. everything else was great!
