Terracotta Bistrot

We ate at Terracotta last week and although the meals were nice, our overall experience was uncomfortable. It was the most expensive restaurant we've visited in Georgia, but we were happy to pay the price for our special night. In the end, we felt very unwelcome especially because of the behavior of the staff. They all sat around one table in the corner of the restaurant and were quite loud talking, laughing, arguing and eating. Someone was even lying on a bench. The place has an ambient atmosphere which we found was ruined by the attitude of the staff : I used to work as a waitress and I would never disturb the guests in such way. Anyway, when my boyfriend finished drinking his wine, we tried to attract their attention to order more, but they didn't notice us as they were talking to each other so we gave up. Also they were not transparent which some of the reviews here also mention. We were offered bread to go with one of the meals and we said yes. When we finished this bread the portion was not sufficient for two people), we were offered more bread. We found both of these servings of bread on the bill for 5 lari each if I remember correctly) which surprised us, since the price of the meal was already quite high at around 21 lari for an appetizer so I'd expect the bread to be included in it. When we were leaving, only one staff member replied to our goodbyes, the others ignored us. If you click on my profile, you can see that I rarely write bad reviews. But we really had high expectations from Terracotta and ended up feeling sad and disappointed and won't be coming back :

Place was super cozy, food delicious, mostly vegetarian options. I’d be more happy with wider variety of choices. Wine list pretty good with decent prices. Has it’s own charm. They did not have any desert, that was a bit strange in my opinion. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

One of the best restaurants in Tbilisi. Service is friendly, cozy atmosphere, large selection of local wines, totally amazing chicken with peas!
