I had no reservation and the restaurant was pretty busy, but they could accommodate me. the room was cozy with wood cladding, brick and stone tile floors. the m... read more I had no reservation and the restaurant was pretty busy, but they could accommodate me. the room was cozy with wood cladding, brick and stone tile floors. the menu has a Flemish accent, but I have more tied to traditional French; I started. the escargot who was just the best I ever had. it was served in a mini ice cream basket with a creamy garlic sauce, croutons and oyster mushrooms. the mushrooms were a perfect choice – they did not compete with the aromes, but they expanded them excellently. the derecote was, however, moderate. the problem was the cut of meat and not the preparation that was before place. cream brule chicoree had excellent taste with the balanced bitterness of the chicory. the half had good texture, but the other was liquefied. overall this was a good meal in a beautiful environment.
