Mannat has many properties and this one is on Chandigarh - Delhi road at Km 52. Great hotel with outdoor and indoor seating ability. Lots of places and souvenirs to have a selfie taken. The service is impersonal and painfully slow. However, full marks for cleanliness and maintenance of the area. Nice place to dine out with family . Loved to enjoy the dinner while sitting outdoor. There was a little delay in serving but the food was great.
Sign boards announcing the Mannat Dhaba are placed several miles before the Dhaba. It builds up an expectation which makes you avoid stopping at the earlier ones, after all it is only 15 minutes drive and then 10 and then it is so close and then it is right there.Lots of cars were parked outside, a testimony to the travellers who would have stopped there in anticipation of a great meal. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. We sat in the air-conditioned portion and probably paid a higher price, but the a/c was far from effective. At best it was not hot, but it was not pleasant either. We ordered Chinese dishes, garlic fried rice and a veg manchurian. Both the preparations were too hot for someone like me, who is so fond of mirchi ka achar..we had it packed because we could not finish even half the portion between the two of us, and had to have an ice cream to cool our flaming mouths..And yes, by the way, they will not serve you water in a glass, but wait for you to open the water bottle kept on the table..these are not filtered water, but chargeable bottled water...and they were not sealed either, so in a way they are tricking you into buying, of all things, water.I am not likely to stop here again...

A vegetarian thali costs Rs 220/- and the vegetable is not sufficient for the two paranthas/ roti served with it. Likewise the dal and rice are in very small katori and portions remain small. Lassi ( Rs 90/-) was surprisingly refreshing. Visit to the place left a sweet-sour taste. While the venue is great, service is take-care-of-yourself attitude.
This restaurant served very poor quality tea and my experience was awful. It was my first visit and I strongly recommend my friends to avoid going there as the tea was also stale.
