Es wurde schnell serviert, die Speisen waren von ordentlicher Qualität, jedoch kommt das Wiener Schnitzel aus der Fritteuse. Der Salat ist sehr sauer gewürzt. Man sitzt dort sehr nett, aber das Essen ist eher auf touristische Schnellabfertigung ausgerichtet. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Preise sind angemessen.

Als Hauptgänge Lachsforelle und Flanksteak. Vorspeisen durchschnittlich. Hauptgänge: Der Fisch war praktisch nicht gebraten, an den Gräten noch roh. Das Fleisch zäh, obwohl angeblich knochengereift. Als Abschluss bestellten wir Salzburger Nockerl, die waren sehr gut. Wartezeit zur Vorspeise zu lang über 45 min. Service in Ordnung

The st... read more Stumbled across this Gasthaus on a rainy Saturday night near the Getreidegasse. This busy small restaurant had a wonderful welcoming and warm atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentative. Excellent value for money with generous portions. In my world the best spinach dumpling I have hight. Great value for EUR 16. Light and full of flavour. The desert, the Mozart Topfenknoedel, was fabulous as well, EUR 10. Very much enjoyed dining here. Thank you! Note: One can only pay with debit, not credit card.

So I tried my luck, to see if this place had room for one on a Friday evening. The place was close to full, but managed to find a good spot for me. I got the meal pretty quickly after ordering it which seems to be the standard at these restaurants. I got a Wienerschnitzel that was really good. It was a nice touch with the raspberry marmalade along with the lemon wedge. The potatoes were ok but could have used a little more butter and parsley. The side salad was nice, although as usual for these parts with a little too much dressing. For dessert I got a local specialty “Salzburger Nockerl” which is basically flyffy baked egg white mixed with sugar and vanilla on a bottom of raspberry quite good. All in all I would definitely recommend this place. Only downside is that it is a bit on the pricey side.
