POLO LOUNGE RESTAURANT - Salzburg

We had a lovely meal here on the night of our first anniversary, whilst also staying at the Hotel. My husband had french onion soup and I had the lobster bisque, we both opted for the venison loin to follow. The food was excellent..although the...pancetta with the venison is a tad salty. This is not an inexpensive restaurant but the food and service are certainly worth it.

My husband and I had made a reservation two months prior, but when we arrived to a totally empty restaurant, the head or matre'd gave us an awful table saying the rest were reserved by a big group. What about our reservations, we asked! So...we proceeded to order and the food was nothing but awful. For dessert, we asked about the strawberries and the head waiter responded they were fresh. They turned out to be dry and as tasty as a stale potato, The waiter shrugged and billed us an exorbitant price anyhow! It is convenient to the MIrabell- but not at all recommended.

I had an excellent meal here, the boat for four excellent courses with the necessary alcoholic services. michael the very friendly and helpful maitre d' was a very welcoming, interesting and informative host.

We had daily breakfast in this beautiful restaurant. the staff is very friendly and attentive. the breakfast selection is also very good. we have enjoyed the decoration especially! would definitely return if we are back in the city!

We enjoyed a quiet dinner in the polo lounge with our 10% discount voucher from the hotel. the grilled boneless chicken was excellent, delicate and tasteful, and a great part. my man had a traditional Austrian dish of cooked bark meat, potatoes and vegetables, which was also very good. although we were the only ones in the restaurant, the beautiful piano music and great service made it relax after 8 miles during the day to foot!
